Associate Veterinarian (Full-Time)
Location: Northern New Jersey (11 miles west of Newark) We are a private, independently owned and operated small animal practice that has proudly served our community for over 100 years. Our reputation is built on one simple philosophy: put patients first and practice medicine the right way. We are seeking a full-time Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) to join our well-established practice dedicated exclusively to dogs and cats. We are deeply committed to providing personalized, compassionate, and high-quality care in a supportive, non-corporate environment. Practice Highlights:
- Complete in-house laboratory
- Digital x-ray and digital dental x-ray
- Ultrasound
- Therapeutic laser
- Telemedicine for specialist review of x-rays
- Full anesthetic monitoring equipment
- Handling of more complex medicine and surgery cases, with a residency-trained surgeon on staff
Team & Schedule Focus:
- Strong emphasis on work/life balance
- Excellent 3:1 staff-to-doctor ratio with all long-term staff
- 30-minute appointments for routine cases
- Designated surgery days
- Four-day work week (considered full-time)
- Office hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Monday–Friday, plus Saturday mornings
- No emergency or on-call duties
