What You’ll Love About This Role:

  • 4-day work week (4x10s)
  • No on-call, overnight, or weekend shifts
  • $130K–$170K base salary, depending on experience

How You’ll Make an Impact:

You’ll spend the majority of your time in our full-service clinic seeing appointments and performing surgery — with some support at nearby spay/neuter centers or shelter medical programs depending on needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform surgeries including spay/neuter, mass removals, hernia repairs, and dental extractions
  • Provide medical exams and treatments for client and shelter animals
  • Help guide decisions around animal care and disposition in collaboration with support staff
  • Maintain accurate medical records and controlled substance logs
  • Deliver excellent client communication and follow-up care
  • Stay current on the latest treatment protocols and best practices

Additional Duties (as needed):

  • Rotate through high-quality/high-volume spay/neuter clinic
  • Provide exams/treatments to shelter animals at nearby facilities
  • Collaborate with shelter leadership on animal behavior and welfare
  • Transport animals occasionally using company vehicles (valid license/insurance required)

What You’ll Bring:

  • DVM and active California veterinary license
  • DEA license (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a clinical setting (newer grads with strong interest are welcome to inquire)
  • Strong surgical skills and clinical judgment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork
  • Proficiency in Windows/Microsoft Office
