Veterinary Clinic in New Braunfels, TX is seeking another Associate Veterinarian. Privately owned practice. Five doctor, mixed animal/exotic practice which also has a contract with the local zoo. Sees about 5-10% avian/exotics and about 1-5% equine patients (haul in and ambulatory). Zoo patients include lions, cougars, camels, wolves, capybaras etc. More advanced medicine and surgery cases. Has a visiting surgeon who can handle TPLOs and more advanced orthopedics. Has a visiting ultrasonographer for echos etc. Has complete in house lab-Idexx, ultrasound for primarily abdominal ultrasounds, therapeutic laser, digital xray, Cornerstone veterinary software. Rehab medicine. Thirty min appts. Full time schedule is 4 day work week (8-6pm) with every other Sat am (8-1) One week per month on call (6-10pm then refer to local ER practice) Has RVTs on staff. Two techs per doctor on a regular basis. Each doctor has one surgery day per week.
